Editus has been together for over 17 years and has gradually and firmly set its mark within the local and international scene. Editus beautifully combines the elements of the electro acoustic guitar, the violin and percussion into a unique and characteristic signature sound. Winners of a Grammy Award, Editus has shared the musical scenes with well respected international artists.
Editus will be away from home for a period of 2 and a half months, the longest tour of their careers so far. The tour has been named “Asia 2008” and consists of a series of concerts that will take place in Japan, Taiwan and South Korea.
Editus has a schedule of 39 concerts that will begin Friday August 22nd and end October 19th. Editus’ front man and guitarist, Edin Solis, mentioned his gratitude for the opportunity given by the organization in allowing them to share their contemporary Costa Rican music and culture with the Asian people.
Editus will be presenting its original music as well as adaptations to Costa Rican traditional songs. Each presentation will be accompanied by video images of Costa Rica in which concert goers will be able to view the country’s exuberant vegetation, wildlife and scenery.
